Raised in the heart of the Osa Peninsula, my passion for tropical birds began in early childhood. Growing up alongside field biologists and conservation leaders, I spent my early years studying ornithology independently, mastering species identification, calls, and ecology on rainforest trails. At age eleven, I was already leading field excursions for international visitors.

As an empirical ornithologist with years of self-taught academic study, my career spans deep scientific collaboration and high-end hospitality. I have led avian monitoring projects for rainforest restoration initiatives, curated entomology collections, guided alongside university biologists, and delivered luxury-level service for top eco-lodges. Today, I also collaborate on local environmental education with the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
When you reserve a tour with me, you get a fully personalized experience tailored to your specific life-list, targets, and pace. As a lifelong local, I know the exact territories for rare, elusive, and regional endemic species. I combine native field tracking skills with deep biological knowledge—explaining morphology, evolutionary adaptations, complex vocalizations, and behavior to deliver a precise, flexible, and world-class birding tour
